I touched upon this brewing method in my previous article & in this episode, we will do a deep dive into Tricolate and brew some nice coffee!!
This is one of the most innovative coffee brewing methods that aims to optimize the extraction process by addressing the bypass issue seen in traditional pour-over drippers like V60, Kalita Wave, Origami etc., The cylindrical design with unique, flat-bottom construction offers simplicity, precision, and exceptionally high extraction yields.
The amazing feature of mitigating bypass and directing all water through the grounds ensures that Tricolate method produces a cup of coffee with distinct flavour notes. Coffee enthusiasts and home brewers will love this as it does not require a gooseneck kettle or precise pouring.
Tricolate’s relatively hands-off approach makes it an awesome option for those who just want to pour and walk away for a while as the brewing time is around 6 to 8 minutes.
While this technique is relatively new, it’s already quite popular in Australian Coffee shops.
