A Place to be Inspired
âme is more than just a hotel with beautiful rooms to spend the night. It is also a place to get inspired. âme is designed with passion for the conscious and modern traveller. It’s housed in a monumental building from 1867 with a beautiful architectural soul. By keeping most of the old elements, they created a place where past and present gracefully meet.
The interior design is inspired by Japanese and Scandinavian aesthetics - with natural materials and colors, clean lines, bespoke furniture and great attention to detail.
One can enjoy the best coffee and pastries in the café, and be surprised by the carefully curated and unique selection of interior and lifestyle items in their concept store.
âme gets its coffees from Shokunin, a coffee roastery in Rotterdam, who try to build sustainable relationships with partners in origin.
Everything at âme is served on handmade ceramic tableware made by Angel who is also the co-founder of hotel âme.

Churupampa
I tried the coffees from Churupampa, Peru first in Manual Slow Pour V60 method and next in Flat White with Oat Milk. Both coffees were simply amazing.
Talking about Churupampa, it’s is not just a farm, it’s a social business model which the Tocto family is expanding around the town of Chirinos. It already includes over 30 farms and every lot is cupped. Last year this included over 4,000 samples. With a community mindset and organic and Fair Trade certifications, this approach fits perfectly with Shokunin.
· Region: Chirinos, San Ignacio, Peru
